Point Pleasant Beach Bars To Close Early?
Point Pleasant Beach is home to some of the best bars and restaurants in Ocean County. However a new possible Point Pleasant Beach ordinance would ban bars and restaurants from serving alcohol after midnight or the bars and restaurants would have to pay hefty fees.
The ordinance was introduced by the Point Pleasant Beach Council, however they recently tabled the ordinance to continue discussions on the issue.
Proponents of the ordinance included local residents who are concerned with crime spikes during summer months that may have resulted from excessive alcohol consumption. Those against the proposal argue that the ordinance would hurt local bars, restaurants and other businesses. At least two local businesses, Jenkinsons Boardwalk and Martell’s Tiki Bar, are anticipated to challenge the law.

We’ll see warmer weather at the Jersey Shore this weekend, plus it’s the 28th Annual Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade, so you know it’s going to be a fun weekend.
