Ocean Happening is celebrating its 1^st Birthday and you’re invited!

Join us for “Ocean Happening’s 1^st Birthday Celebration” on Wednesday June 27^th 2012 from 6PM-10PM at Mulligan’s Bar & Grill in Toms River. And there’s absolutely NO COVER CHARGE to go to the party!

During the party, Mulligan’s will be serving delicious food, available for purchase, including pizza, wings, burgers and 2lb lobsters. Plus, Miller Lite draft and bottle specials. It’s a great opportunity to eat and drink good food and celebrate Ocean Happening’s 1^st Birthday. And it includes LIVE entertainment by local musician Bonnie Boland.

Plus, Ocean Happening will be collecting non-perishable food items at the event that we will be donating to the Food Bank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties. For every non-perishable food item that you bring it, you’ll receive a raffle ticket to win fun local prizes from local businesses.

The BlueClaws Are Back!

After ending the 2011 Season with a disastrous four-game losing streak, the Lakewood BluecCaws will begin their 2012 campaign with new players, a new manager and a new attitude that will hopefully include a championship run.

This marks the 12^th Season for the Lakewood BlueClaws, the Single-A Affiliate for the Philadelphia Phillies. Mickey Morandini takes over as the new manager for the BlueClaws. He was at Williamsport last year, which is intriguing because there are more Williamsport players on BlueClaws’ roster (11) than returning BlueClaws players. Of the 25 active players on the Opening Day roster, only 4 are returning players from the BlueClaws last season. A lot of new faces moved up from the Phillies’ Farm System into the BlueClaws’ lineup, most notably 3B Maikel Franco, one of the best young prospects at his position. And don’t forget outfielder Kyrell Hudson, who was taken in the 3^rd Round in 2009. (more…)
