It’s Official: Summer returns to the Jersey Shore. During Memorial Day Weekend 2012, tens of thousands of people will flock to Ocean County to visit the beaches, which open that weekend. Plus it’s the official seasonal openings for the boardwalk attractions in Point Pleasant Beach and Seaside Heights, Fantasy Island in LBI and Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. Get Your 2012 Beach Badges

Its that time of year again.

Beach badges are on sale now for your favorite beaches throughout Ocean County. Although most of the beaches won’t require beach badges for access until Memorial Day Weekend 2012, you can start purchasing seasonal badges now at special pre-season rates. What’s Happening This Weekend In Ocean County

Now that it’s May, we’re inching closer to the start of the summer at the Jersey Shore. We hope everyone has a Happy Cinco De Mayo this weekend. So what else is there to do this weekend? Sprinting To Make a Difference

Imagine finding out that you or someone close to you was diagnosed with Leukemia or Lymphoma? Or perhaps this already happened? It is important to raise funds to fight these diseases, and you can this weekend at the 10^th Annual Ship Bottom Sprint For Life.

This Saturday April 14^th 2012 marks the 10^th Annual Ship Bottom Sprint For Life, also known as the Vic Pennisi Memorial 5K Run & 2 Mile Fitness Walk. Hundreds of people will take part in this important event in Long Beach Island. Registration begins at 10:00AM on Saturday Morning at the 10^th Street Boat Ramp in Ship Bottom. The 5K begins at 12:30PM and the 2 mile walk starts at 12:32PM. If you haven’t registered by now, it’s only $25 to enter ($17 for kids 12 & under). The event is sponsored by the Borough of Ship Bottom and the Long Beach Island PBA Local 175. (more…)
